How long did it take MTM to reduce their cat-back exhaust prices to drop?

I am asking because I am planning on replacing my S4 exhaust with the MTM unit, but will not pay $1800 for it... If you know how long it took them to reduce the price for their A4 unit, that might help me decide if I should wait or proceed with another company. Thanks in advance

I just paid $600 for an MTM chip for my 1.8T (same price it's been since the beginning), and the prices for the exhaust seem to be unchanged. Hoppen and MTM are confident that they have a product worth the money and don't really seem to get into price cutting.

information about that? From the looks of their A4 page, the exhaust now is around $800 - half of what it used to be. I agree that they have top notch products, but $1700+tax for exhaust exceeds my budget (comes out to around $200/HP gained - assuming 10HP from cat-back)

I'm pretty sure the exhaust used to be $1800, and now its $1555. I don't post very often, but I've been following this board since late 97/early 98 and MTM/Hoppen products are reputably very high quality products. It took quite some time for the price to "drop", but don't expect big discounts. You get what you pay for...as for me, I went with another system. =)
Good luck!

the MTM exhaust is still pricey--i don't remember exactly what i paid, but it was in the $1700 range. but i'd do it again! installed it in august--beautifully made, very high quality stainless--and an exhaust note i can live with. throaty--not raspy. you DO get what you pay for--and the MTM is the best available for the A4, imho.
