I were to upgrade to a Stage 3 or T-28? At present I never really launch (max 2K-2,500 while easing out the clutch). However, I do push it through the gears pretty aggressively at times once I'm going.

Default I think if he didn't launch it could last much longer, a stage3 doesn't really build boost in low

rpm's so it would tear it up if he didnt launch. However I don't know if a clutch suffers abuse from too much power even when fully engaged, b/c if it does then you are probly right.

Default Re: I think if he didn't launch

That really gets to the crux of my question. It's clear to me that I would slip the clutch instantly by launching. However, will it also glaze when full boost arrives while driving?

Default Lots of people have run stg3/t28 without replacing the clutch

It will certainly shorten the life, but it's probably not something you need to worry about immediately; when it goes, upgrade it.

Default No. I ran my OEM clutch for well over 40k miles after installing a Stage III. When I pulled it to

install an SPEC Stage 3 clutch it was still okay. I am very gentle on clutches.

Are your driving patterns anything like what I described mine as being?

Default Pretty much :)

No hard launches and no 'speed shifting' but agressive gear changes up and down.
I only upgraded because Iwanted to be able to do a few q launches ... novelty wore off quickly
