How many hours of labour does the dealer charge for a timing belt & tensioner replacement?

dealers sometime make up their own schedules, but it's normally part of the 60k tune up & cheaper...
than separating the maintenance. You're better off just getting it all done at once for their flat rate instead of breaking it down and paying more.

Its a 97 Audi A4 1.8T. I just bought the car and I know the guy didn't get it done under warranty/ regular service interval. So I'm either going to tackle the job or pay the dealer to do it. The parts are $180 Cdn ( Belt and Tensioner). So given 3 hours labour I might let the dealer do since I don't know that much about this car, yet. ($500- $600 Cdn doesn't sound to bad)
