I have to get new tires this summer and there aren't many options for performance tires in 15". I was thinking of buying some used 16" rims and I kinda like the 2.8 wheels, if they came with tires I could just wear those down. I'll get good rims eventually, but that requires money which I don't have. (I just realized I haven't really said anything in this post.) How much are those going for these days? Any offers? I've been checking the classifieds but there dont seem to be many 2.8 wheels there, a lot of sport package wheels which look hard to clean.

i just bent one and the dealer wanted that much for a new one, i laughed. i currently have them painted black and am using them as winter wheels if i come across anyone selling a full set ill let ya know. im still undecided as to what im gonna do with mine.

Without tires. I got them for witner wheels but I like them better than the 2.8 wheels, I got them from someone in the A6 forum.

The tires on them are Yokohama YK420's with about 5k miles on them.. not max performance tires by any means but good as all-seasons go. The wheels themselves were on my '98 A4 for its first 40k miles but are in good shape, I can take close up pictures or whatever. Price is negotiable, I have no use for them.. put them back on once for "winter" and missed my aftermarket ones too much.
