Default I run 42 psi all around on my GTI's tires...225/40/18

Not one problem yet, either with my ASA AR1/Kumho Ecsta MX (former wheels) or the R32/Eagle F1 (current).

Default take a guesstimate, and adjust based on tire wear. If you see fresh rubber on the tire's shoulder

then increase the pressure.

If the center of the thread is wearing faster than the rest of the tire lower the pressure.

This in conjunction with the change in driving caracteristics of the car ...play around with it any you'll able to calibrate the right tire pressure.

Default yup, we have one vendor where I work....we get 40% off list....

so i sell at 20% over list, within pennies of just doubling cost.

I've heard before that higher pressure = stiffer sidewalls = higher grip...

The softer you can run the tire, the more tread touches the road... thus, more grip...

Default Stiffer sidewalls = crisper response, but worse grip...

Truth be told, on smooth roads, a nice stiff suspension and stiff tires is great. In the real world, more compliant suspension and tires is better, because the tires spend more time on the road, less time bouncing...

It's all a balancing act though..
