How much boost
I just bought a manual boost controller and i was curious how much boost my car can safely hold without messing anything up. I have a 98 a4 1.8t quattro with borla exhaust.

Less than $500 will buy 210 safe horsepower
if you have an exhaust check out MTM prices have dropped. There are also other great chips out there that will work in a safer manner.

You can use the milltek exhaust. I was talking about the MTM chip ($449). MTM exhausts...
still cost about $1300 & requires the purchse of a separate down pipe. The link is to Hoppen the importer, but I used Keith Anderson a MTM distributer/installer in MN much nicer people to deal with.<ul><li><a href="http://www.hoppenmotorsport.com/A4_B5.htm">Linky</a></li></ul>

2nd. I thought about boost controller at very beginning until i researched it....
I would not put a boost controller in my car, a chip is much better and safer. The boost controller doesnt change any programming that a chip on your ECU would. Its not meant for German cars that have much more electronics then Japenese ones.
