How much does using the brake torque technique actually tear up your engine? (nt)

The transmission won't be too happy either.
This is one of those things that has a cumulative effect. Torque braking puts a lot of stress on the whole power train and heats up the transmission fluid quickly.
Doing it once in a blue moon probably will not do much damage but if it's a regular practice, plan on high repair costs. This should help to decide whether it's "worth it."
