How much oil am I supposed to use with this new anti-sludge gigantic oil filter?

Default How much oil am I supposed to use with this new anti-sludge gigantic oil filter?
This thing is a monster, got it at the VW dealership just now. I assume I'm going to add more than the normal amount with this big of a filter... how much?

Default You tell us...
Put in 4 qts. and check the dipstick. Personally I'd fill the filter first, then add 3.5 - 3.75 qts. to get it close. Should be about right.

Default 4 qts put me about 1/8" from full on the dipstick.
