Default i would suggest that you don't even buy it....

an 8lb hood is strictly for racing only, unless your A4 is a dedicated track car this is not a good mod. the 8lb hood will most likely have no skeleton, be a very thin sheet of CF with a ****ty coat of clear coat or other kind of coating.

you must have hood pins and overall it's just a pita, if you want the look and the lighter hood go for the show hoods like DTM autohaus and many others sell. they're about $800...and look much better (fit, finish, structure, etc)

if you must buy the 8lb race hood, it should be about $150-200 cheaper then the show hood. if it's the vortrag race hood forget it...it's a piece of ****

Default yep that's chelsea's car with the old hood....as for the ebay thing...i'd tell him to

f*ck himself, i'm sure there's more things wrong...but first off that hood is not 7-8lbs...it's a 15lb hood iirc, and it doesn't cost $100-150 to ship that thing, shipping should be $50-80. it also doesn't take 2-4 weeks to ship this thing, a week max. the $50 to a residential address is total bull, this guy is gonna rape u on shipping. i wouldn't buy from anyone that would use a pic not of their own, if there's nothing wrong with the hood why wouldn't he post pics of the hood itself? email him and ask for pics. imo this guy doesn't even have the hood...he's asking for 2-4 weeks, doesn't have his own picture, and asking a extra $200 to ship.

the only thing that conflicts this is his feedback...it's pretty good...however it's not hard to fake it.

Default you don't need them, your oem latch attatches to the underside....

hood pins are just added protection

i'd actually consider some in anodized black
