How quick is your steering (turns lock to lock)?: collecting data

I have been trying to confirm that the steering on the A4s (at least the 1.8tq, not sure about the 2.8) is actually quicker than the "quick ratio steering" touted for the S4. The steering on my 98.5 1.8tq is 2.8 turns lock to lock (same as the TT), while the specs in the AudiWorld model guide and several magazine tests indicate 3.1 turns for the A4 (same as the S4.) I am wondering if Audi might have fitted the 1.8t's with quicker steering since the front end is significantly lighter than the 2.8 and S4. I tried to find out from AoA but they wouldn't answer and sent me to the dealer.
So, anyone care to count how many turns your steering is lock to lock? Whatever is going on, I like the quick steering on mine!

How many turns does your steering take from lock to lock, and what year/model do you have? Front trak or quattro?
I will post results.

...every number I have seen for various versions of A4 has been 36.4 feet. S4 is 37.4 feet. Didn't think I could get people out in parking lots measuring turning circles!
Thanks for the info.
