how reliable are audi A4 1.8t's, and what years are the most reliable?
#15
From my experience, reliability and Audi don't belong in the same sentence. But I LOVE my Audi...
I have a MY 2000 1.8T. Honestly, German cars are nowhere near as reliable as Japanese cars. I've had MANY more problems in 15,000 miles of Audi ownership than 140,000 miles of Honda ownership. However, they offer a driving experience that, in my opinion, makes up for their unreliability. Just make sure that you either have a long warranty or a lot of money budgeted for repairs. And be aware that MY 2000's might not take well to being chipped.
