YOu have never had a coil go bad?
Your controll arms have never gone bad?

only C-arms, fixed at 5k, no problems since, except for tickets

Default My vote is for '00 but I'm biased.... I've driven 99.5 - - > 2002...

It depends on what you want and what you want to do to the car I suppose.

Default From my experience, reliability and Audi don't belong in the same sentence. But I LOVE my Audi...

I have a MY 2000 1.8T. Honestly, German cars are nowhere near as reliable as Japanese cars. I've had MANY more problems in 15,000 miles of Audi ownership than 140,000 miles of Honda ownership. However, they offer a driving experience that, in my opinion, makes up for their unreliability. Just make sure that you either have a long warranty or a lot of money budgeted for repairs. And be aware that MY 2000's might not take well to being chipped.

Why 2000 not take chipping well? 18,000 miles on my chip = no problems
