Default yes, the plastic pan must come out. the engine mount is directly above it.

that piece comes out first in 2 minutes. plus, you can put the bumper back on and adjust the mount with the cover off. THEN you can put the cover back on.

b ut, theoretically, the BUMPER COULD be removed without the pan? yes?

not sure....but it MUST come off to install the mount, and it's so easy anyway...might as well do it
