How to reset airbag light with vagcom (first time user).

I have not been successful in reseting the light with my shareware version. I use cheap ebay cable
as well and it has been nothing but great. Had it for a year or two, used it dozens of times on my car and other cars, no problems. I think a few have had issues with their ebay cables though.

Thx 4 letting me know. Will see how it goes. Can you pls. tell me how to try resetting it?
Is the software pretty easy to figure out by playing with it? Is it as simple as going into the airbag module and clicking a button?

I have played with it and not figured it out. The software is pretty straight forward. You will see
Please do share if you figure out how to reset/scan the airbag. I tried to scan mine (with airbag light on) and it didnt work. Ended up paying 50 to have it scanned and reset...

Here is a link to the main index of the VAG COM manual. It should outline the procedures to scan/log
different blocks etc. I havent gone through it myself, but would think it would tell you how/what to do and that way you will figure out whether the shareware version is capable of doing this task or not.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/tour/main_screen.html">VAG Com online manual</a></li></ul>
