Default How to test ignition wires with multi-meter??? ohm?

I want to test ignition wires with a multi-meter - if wires are good what ohm I should get?
thanks

Ohm. They should all be roughly the same.

Default there is my ohmmmm

ignition wires tested from both sides:

1cyl 5.25
2cyl 5.0
3cyl 5.0
4cyl 4.92
5cyl 4.89
6cyl 4.94

good or not good? ;-)

Default Accurate?

I donĀ“t think you will get a accurate measurement measuring youre cables that way...
Because the current that the ohm-meter gives out is to small!
I would get a battery and a resistor and let a known current run trough (measur current & Voltage trough/over) the cables and then calculate the resistance using R = U/I (Resistance = Volts/Amps)

For example use a car battery and put a 20ohm (high current) resistance before the cable the you should have a current of 0.6Amps.

Default You need to use at least a 5W resistor to do that and the results are not gonna be diffrent.

And 5 Ohms is pretty much no resistance anyways...
Ohms Law states that the relation is linear within operating parameters... (Melting wires or dying battery does not count.) The only thing you need to check is if the cable being checked is disconnected on both ends and you get accurate readings.

Default Hmm

No way a 0.5m cuppercable have 5ohm resistance more like 0.5ohm. But then I donĀ“t know how big the resistance is for the connections.
But 5ohms is probably ok measuring directly on the cable using a multimeter.

yes,I did measuring directly on the cable using a multimeter.
