How is the turbo lag on APR stage 3?
#2
Its more pronounced than with just the chip, the party does not start until 3k, however
the other side of that equation is that it pulls well past 6k so if you are willing to put up with the revs, you get a ton of power, you've just got to keep it never lower than 2k for some power and 3k for anything really worthwhile. Sweet spot is like 3600 or so

Well...
There is more lag than a KO3. my definition of lag is how long it takes the turbo to spool up to get boost and it does come a little later than a KO3. Is it annoying? Not at all, it's nothing like those big turbo kits where it kicks hard at 4k. The boost builds from 2-3k after 3k it pulls hard. With my experience with a KO3 chipped the boost will come on strong around 2600k then it start to die after 4k. The GT-25 pulls all the way. I fly past the cars I use to have trouble with after this upgrade. Also the GT-25 is very responsive, more so than the KO3. This is based on my experience, and I have 0 regrets on the kit.

Thanks a lot man! I have a few questnion for you if you don't mind.
First of all, do you have AIM? If so, please IM me [Pr0phet Ali] or just give me your screen name.
Now some stage 3 questions. Is your car just as street drivable as a k04 car? Can you still go in for service at your dealer? And would you recommend me to go stage 3 or 3+?
See, I am leasing my car. And so far, I plan on turning my car back in to the dealer after my lease, in 4 years. Is stage 3 still cool for me?
Thanks for you time.

Not really lag in the true sense of the term. (m)
When I think of lag I think of revs slowly building until at some point you get enough exhaust flow for boost to kick in. Typically lag feels more like lugging a normally aspirated car in too high a gear, until revs finally get up to being on the cams. The S3 doesn't behave like that. When you press your foot down you go. Now just as Shoe and SethW stated . .at mid 3's it does go at a great rate ... lol

stage 3+ dosent work on our cars..theres a sensor mounted in the factory IC and on the 3+..
the car goes into limp mode...its programming as far as I know...APR NEEDS to solve this problem ASAP..before I get my street thugs on them
