So far you have thrown out the number "23", and you have asked us to trust YOU because YOU say you are credible. Well, give us something more as outlined in in the link below!
YOU made reference to hands on the scale and lead weights...that's the only reason people jumped in James' defense...as I said, don't cry about being in James' World, just put some facts on the table, and back them up, and people will show due respect.

https://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/878473.phtml</a

I know 2 points does not imply linearity...you can only calc slope from those two values ;-) I am an engineer ya know.
I took a total of 3 values. 6 on 4 on 2 on...showed you 4 and 2 cause the math was easier to intuit for our readers. If you want to see the other point hit me up.
Regards,
James R.

James is as credible as they come on this forum. He won't guarantee the absolute value, but the relative difference b/w the wheels is pretty damn accurate. PES claimed their wheel was 21 pounds, and James's scale backed that up. The CH was put on the same scale and yielded a weight of +25 pounds, simple as that. I can personally guarantee he wouldn't fudge the numbers on this; again he is as honest of a car enthusiast I've ever talked to.
I'm a BBS loyalist myself; I'm on set #3 (currently 18" SXs), so I love the product line. However I will side with his test results until you can prove him wrong. Currently all you've done is throw numbers out without any proof. He's done more than that.

no offense to those working in sales but your particular attitude and response lead me to that belief.
Can you provide proof? You mentioned with packaging, it weights 27lbs? what kind of f*cked up packing you do? 4 lbs of packing? Rims are delivered in a cardboard box and perhaps stuffing All the packing weighs 4 lbs? What planet are you on? 25-26 lbs is more likely with 1-2 lbs of cardboard packing.
Again, no more "I know the true" x-files crap. talk the talk and walk the walk, the defendent has. your move.

has a calibrated scale...like for instance someone who works at a veteranarian's office (accurate digital scale with large platform) in the Huntington Beach area I'd be glad to bring by...one BBS CH and one Oettinger RE...with those two points we will know the exact weight of all 3 wheels.

You should see some of the packaging that my audio equipment came in. A 15 pound speaker comes packed with 3-4 pounds of packaging material. If you pack a 25 (well, closer to 26) pound wheel, to protect it during shipping, you better use more than 1-2 pounds of cardboard and foam.
