Default I am a happy camper...

Thanks to all the members of this forum past and present who have posted about Boxster caliper/A8 upgrade. Even though the 'search' feauture isn't quite up to par, I've found enough info/opinions and answers to my questions that I was able to piece the kit relatively inexpensively.

Also to:

qfrog-your posts about which SS lines were invaluable. I think I spent more time searching on this topic than on anything else. Good info man!

liam-for the brackets.

silverA4fun-for the retaining pin kit and SS lines.

And like all the others who have done this mod before me, the difference is like night and day compared to OEM.

The only real issue I had was that the stock Boxter caliper bolts do not fit liam's brackets, but I had that resolved within an hour of asking for the correct size.

Ok. here are the pics...

Looks great! Glad the brakes are better than crappy OEM.

Default I wish I am that lucky like you or qfrog (able to obtain the calipers for less than $250)

So far I have not seen them under $400.

Default what lines did you end up with.... The old school audi ones I was tinkering with were short

too short... I ended up with the hard lines and the old 993 stainless lines.

please dont use any of those old lines they are too short and could be dangerous. Please if you did try them ditch them immediately.

the single piston calipers hang off the back of the rotor and have their threaded coupling much closer to the hard lines in the wheel well, this is why a longer line was needed.

Default I used the hard lines with the '77' 911 SS lines

70s/early80s 911 (993-355-139-00)
