Default I like my OEM. They are twice as good as all the other stock cars I have driven.

Maybe I should drive more cars.

Default is there any big diff between an a8 upgrade kit with stock a4 caliper

and with the porsche boxster caliper. Im curious to know.

I'm under the impression HPS pads are similar to stock. If there's a huge difference in braking power those calipers must really be doing their job well. Just think what'll happen if you put some aggressive pads in there! Glad to hear you're happy with it.
