I am Indian and very very sad to see the reaction of Americans in this country.

Seriously...buy a gun...too many ignorant a-holes out there
They already beaten someone in MI, and torched a pakistani tire store in Dallas. It might even get worse inthe comming weeks.
If verbally confronted...tell them your nationality...if physically confronted..defend yourself (hence, my suggestion to buy a gun....learn how to use it first!!!). Oh, and to PROVE your citizenship while shooting at your attackers...make sure you buy either a colt .45 (no, not billy d's drink of choice....the gun!!), or a Smith and Wesson .45.

I'm glad I live in the NYC metro area... I have not experienced any of this stuff
however, some of sister's friends supposidly have...
I dunno why, but noone bugged me during desert
storm, and noone has done so about this trajedy.
I guess with NY being such a melting pot, most
of the people here know or are friends with someone
from the middle east or the indian subcontinent.

You are not the first....
During WWI, Americans of German descent were persecuted in great extent. Many German named people, places and events were renamed even though these people had been in the US for over a hundred years. The King William section of downtown San Antonio is a prime example. It used to be known as the Kaiser Wilheim area.
I was there a few years ago, attending an event at Beethoven Manor and some people of Mexican descent called me a "fvcking ****" in a quite threatening manner. Mind you, WWII had been over for at least 50 years and I had shoulder-length hair (much like Beethoven) at the time.
Your case is onbly made worse by the select few who had been cheering the destruction. Yes, there were a few neighborhoods but this was the exception.

Some redneck shot a Sikh in Mesa AZ Saturday...
Crazy, wild-eyed rednecks.
Things will start calming down soon...Might I suggest an american flag for your car? and I'd wear one on your shirt, just in case.

I'll categorize you in the "Living in a dream world Audi Worlder"
I don't start arguments, I just put in my .02 cents and some of you just can't keep your traps shut. This is America, we're not all going to be touchy feeley and hold hands because of this. Why don't you preach your dream world idea to the KKK or Blank Panthers. You're not perfect either so don't expect everyone else to be.
