i basically drained all my coolant, now i am refilling, do i need to bleed the lines

when filling them up?

Just fill with the lines open until you see new coolant = done.

Do I need to pull both hoses and check, or just the one with the hole???

I only pulled the one with the hole, but beware

I filled until the fluid came out of the hole and then sealed the hose back up. After driving 250 or so miles back to school the tank level dropped significantly - I can only assume it was another air bubble burning off. Make sure you bleed a couple times to be safe.
