Default I can't decide on the Quattro

I don't know if I want the quattro all-wheel drive yet but I don't think that it is worth it... Can anyone give me any good reasons why I would need to spend an extra $2000 dollars for a seemingly worthless all-wheel drive system? I'm just saying this because I have lived in Wisconsin for all my life over 40 winters... I have never had any problems driving a front or rear wheel drive car, so I just don't see what the point is....

The Quattro option will lose VERY little resale value if any at all.

Default um, trust me, quattro is worth it.

I have taken a ride in Quattro enables cars and let me tell you, the handling and performance is a world of difference over my *ahem* fwd a4.

get it. I wish i had it. I'd willingly pay that much for it.

Stupid used cars =)

What does it change about the performance and handling? The dealer told me that the FWD is much faster because of it's lesser weight... I was also wondering if the Sports Package is worth the extra $750, are the wheels that come with it better looking than the original 15 inchers?

Actually here's what I'm considering getting:
-2001 Audi A4 1.8t
-Celebration Package(Sunroof, homelink,auto dimming mirrors)

Also considering the sport package...

Anything other options/configurations that anyone else can suggest? I don't want to spend any more than $27,000 and I would preferably like to spend less than or about $25k... How much do Audi dealers negotiate?

Default I was thinking like you until...

I too couldn't justify the quattro, until I test drove one! The car feels so much more solid. Cornering in a dream, and hell, once in the A4 price range, whats 2 more K? Initially, I only wanted 1.8T, celebration package and an automatic. Last Friday, I bought 1.8T Quattro, celebration, cold weather, sports, xenions, bose and an automatic. YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!

Default Get the Sport package...I wish I did...dealer negotiating varies...

I went to one place and got nowhere then went to the next nearest one and had to do NO negotiating, treated like a king and got what I wanted for my trade-in. You will NEVER get the A4 at invoice so quit dreaming (some circumstances may get it low i.e. bad color, sitting on lot for a long time) but go onto Edmunds.com and figure that you will pay anywhere from 3-5% over invoice. Last advice...get as much as you can because you will end up paying 2x as much trying to mod. it later...trust me.

Quattro is worth the $2K in resale value alone. But Quattro WAS the reason I bought an Audi.
