Default I can't wait any longer... I have to RAVE about my PSS9s!!!

I wanted to wait until I had good pictures, but I can't contain myself. They are so freaking amazing it is hard to put into words how amazing they make my car!

My car now does EVERYTHING better. It brakes better with no dive. (rears do more work now, due to no nose dive) I feel like the power is getting to the ground much faster when I accelerate, the car feels faster and more responsive even in a straight line! There is no more squat, so the power just goes immediately to the ground.

The previos paragraph was about how awesome the PSS9s are in a straight line, but where they really shine is when the road is anything but straight! Having more than twice the spring rate at the rear of the car now gives the car a rediculously precise turn-in, yet it is not tail happy in any way. I am going to autocross in september to really learn how the car handles at the limit. There is so much grip now that it would be near impossible and very unsafe to drive the car at its new amazing limits on the street!

The ride is excelent! It is very firm and you feel all of the road. Every up and down, every bump, every white line at an intersection, and it is great! It is in no way uncomfortable! It is just very communicative and well dampened.

I personally believe this is the best suspension setup available for the B5 as far as performance/handling go. I did TONS of research before I bought this kit and I am more than happy with my final decision!!! I could not have made a better choice!

And now for the pics...

Aren't they beautiful...

The front installed...

The ride height that bilstein recommended and I think it is perfect!

Please post comments and questions!!!

Default Congrats

Sounds like a great suspension
I decided to get Penskes instead of the S4 PSS9s

What suspension did you have before?
What ride height?
My H&R race/bilstein is riding way too low(24.5" floor to fender) and I want to raise my car up

Default "I personally believe this is the best suspension setup available for the B5..."

*cough*Stasis Motorsport's*cough*Penske's*cough* :-)

Car looks great. Glad you like the PSS9's. I was looking at those but couldn't justify the price. Where did you get them from?

Default At the risk of repeating myself (for the 12th time) measure from the center of the hub to the fender

arch. That takes tires aspect, tire brand variances and inflation pressure out of the mix.
Also a repeat ... the lowest I'd set unless I had the ability to adjust other suspension components geometry, is 13.25" at any corner.

Default I am ~25.5 all the way around.

It is perfect. I don't crash into anything or even have to really change my driving habits at all. That is sweet you went with Penskes!!! Those are freaking awesome! You will love those. That is a serious track setup right?

Default Dude, don't be talking about price and then drop stasis MS and penske at me...

for the money they will dominate anything out there! I got a screaming deal through the shop I work at.

Default some of my friends say I should lower it more too...

but I know better, I already had a slammed GTI VR6. been there done that. It handles best at this height and is the most practical and I think it looks perfect.

Thanks for the comment on the garage. I have some more garage art I need to put up. Peace.

Default They are a track inspired C/O.

But you can adjust them to a street ride setting. IMO, they are not worth it unless you track often. But if you have the money....why not : )

Default I was saying I need adjustable ride height

I have problems over some speed bumps

I'll measure from the center of the hub
What is optimal ride height?
