here is my basic configuration idea so far.
Zex kit $509
2 Additional solenoids & T or Y joint
Additional nozzle
Additional jets
Additional hoses
The system will be armed by one of my 3 dummy switches on the dash.
The system will be Activated by full throttle aka WOT. The ammount of Nitrous will be selectable in 3 settings 35hp, 55hp, and 75hp.
The 2 remaining dummy buttons will be to open the additional solenoids which will be connected to the Zex NMU via the N2O lines.
The system defaults to a 35 shot.
If I want a 55 shot I press one of the two buttons and if I want a 75 shot I press both of the two buttons. Or I will wire them so the 2nd button activates button 1 as button 2 is pressed.
Each of the extra buttons is another 20hp shot. By doing this I can limit my use of nitrous to what I want/need. If I am going to burn a Ricer, you bet you *** I am gonna run all 3 jets of N2O. But if I am just doing some spirited driving I will just leave it on stage 1.
A total 75 shot will produce about 265hp, which sounds pretty good to me. A stage 1 shot is only 225hp, which I can live with for daily driving.
I estimate that a 35 shot on a 10 pound tank will last me like 10 days between refills of frequent use. If I am less agressive then it will last closer to 2 weeks. Not bad for that kind of extra power. Its cheaper than running Toluene which costs more than N2O and gives less power. Plus I'd have to tinker with my timing to optimize the car for Toluene enhanced gasoline.
I think I will do the N2O system once I do my timing belt change. So Figure a month or so and frog will be BULLFROG.
