I did the cheesy 1-touch up rear window mod this weekend and found it really doesn't work very well.

It's an easy mod, but here's what happened on my A4:
-rear's go down as 1-touch at each window and the driver's panel and you can press the button again to have the window stop where you want it.
-rear's go up as 1-touch at each window and the driver's panel, but you can't stop the window on the way up. -- I don't like this feature.
-pinch protections still functions.
(here's the odd thing)
-the right rear button on the door and the driver's panel for the 1-touch up function works both rear windows. up only. not down. anyone know why? --again, I don't like this feature, well, my passengers won't and I'll hear about it.
I did the figure-8 of copper wire around #5 & #7 pins on both window regulators, which they're are in different locations between the regulators on my A4, which I found odd.
So, if this is the norm for this mod, then I'll be removing it. oh well, what do you expect for a cheesy mod you can do with about $0.10 of copper wire and 30 minutes?

Everything works well. The windows stop with a second press and operate independently. Perhaps the '01.5 had a change in wiring. A look in bentley might help but a little trial and error on your part would probably turn up an answer that could be helpful to other people in the same situation.

connected #5 & #7 on each side. It was quite obvious which wire on the harness isn't hooked-up, which I assume is the 1-touch up feature. Now, which one it's supposed to be connected to, I have no idea -- I was only going by the instructions. So, maybe you're right, I'll do the T&E and see what other funky window features I can do :-)
