still have a lot of "slop" at the shifter. It looks to come from the pivot point at the base of it. Does anyone know which parts are worn out ? Thanks.

..It usually comes with those nylon bushings that slide with your shifter while shift into gears. I did all that and the slop is almost gone

which will help control movement of the shifter "base" which tends to move around when moving the shifter. I know a few people that are using the linkage/bushing upgrades and felt that it made a huge difference to the shifter they already had.
But it sounds like he might be talking about the actual plastic part that goes around the ball on the shaft. Only way to fix that is to actually buying the JHM solid short throw shifter itself. Nice part is that the JHM kit replaces all of the OEM parts.
