Default i dont get it...

the timing belt seems toight like a tiger. It def didnt snap or fray, but im wondering if it maybe skipped a tooth. I cant really get in there to take the entire cover off and the cars not really in the best spot to work on it (parked on a hill in my friends driveway) i couldnt take the head off as i lost my socket set (figures), but im going back to the car to try and see if i can manage something. Coolant is filled to the line, nothing ever leaked out of the car thru the whole ordeal. so i dont get it...im about ready to just put everything back together and see if itll start. Im willing to bet something fvcked up like that would happen given the circumstances.

That's what Bugbbq said too... till you can see the bottom pulley, you'll never know.

Default I have one...

too bad it's so far away... Easiest way I can think of to test this would be to keep the upper covers off, and try to turn the crank somehow (starter, or other method) pull the plugs to make it easier to turn it. See if the belt actually turns. If it does, you might have just skipped a tooth. If not, well, sorry.

Default fyi it looks like you have a 98 an prob have the older

12pt head bolts. you should be able to remove them with the tool from napa. as I recall the "oem" ones from auto zone are not long enough. the bolts need to be replaced with new streach bolt which requires a longer triple square which you can buy online. i dont think you'll need it if you tossed your tb.

it sounds like you might be over your head. think about a AAA tow to a local shop.
