Were you rude to the cop? ........ (small story inside)
When I got my first car, I was bring it home from RI to Ontario, and I got pulled over on I90(or something in Massachtusetts) and I passed the cop doing 110. It was my first car and I was being stupid. Also the clutch was going so I was trying to get home as fast as I could. I passed the car and noticed it was a undercover cop and started to slow down but lights came on from behind the grill so I pulled right over. He walked up to the car, and I rolled down the window with insurance, lisence and sales reciept handy. I told him I 100% know I was speeding and told him about the clutch and just letting the speed build on the downhills. I said I understand that I was getting a ticket, but asked that he took the clutch into consideration. He went back to his car and came back 15 minutes later (lots of stuff because I was a Canadian citzen I guess). He gave me the ticket, and proceeded to tell me he would knock the speed down to 95+ and the ticket to $75. He told me just to keep it under 70 and I should be fine. I was shocked to say the least, but through out the whole thing stayed calm and very polite, so I guess I was just lucky as hell or the officer got laid that morning. Who knows. Wish you luck in court.

I got a 120 in a 75 in a Turbo Volvo once.
When the judge asked me how do you plead I said, Your Honor I plead stupid and guilty with circumstances if you would hear them. She did, I said it was clear, there was no traffic and that I would never do it again.
Cost me a couple hundred bucks but I did not have to go to jail which was a distinct possibility.
