Default That only disables the interior sensor...

from what he described, that's not what's triggering the alarm.

Default I know, that's what I said. ;) Oh and regarding scratches too...

Kenny, I know it only disables the interior sensors. I don't know what would be set off by the wind though. If I remember from the times I've read through my manual trying to figure out why the alarm kept going off, I think there are sensors in the doors, the hood, the trunk, and the interior. I guess maybe the hood could be jarred around a bit from the wind?

With regard to the scratches, Ray's suggestion above of 3M Finesse-It is a good choice if you have a random orbit buffer like a Porter Cable 7336. However, it's not as good for hand application. You should probably try 3M Swirl Mark Remover, which is available at any Pep Boys. Check out the detailing forum if you're into car care.

Default I have an aftermarket system and got a buzzing. It was an easy fix for me.

Turns out my sound dampening foam had deteriorated. I took off the door panel and cut away some around the speaker area. with the loose part of the foam sheet away from the speaker, the bass didn't move it anymore, problem solved. Try that before you assume the speaker is shot.

Default For the speakers, I bought Bose speaker from a Maxima and it was the exact speaker from the Audi

Just without the rings. It was the passenger front speaker. Fit perfectly and has lasted me over a year with no problems. Cost me a total of $18.00 shipped to my house. I purchased them off Ebay.

Default lol...

We had pretty decent luck with my coilovers. After taking it down from the stands, the fronts were perfect. We adjusted the collars up on the rears maybe... half an inch? and it was fine. But Alex or Raj knew pretty damn well what measurements to use, so all credit goes to them.

Not much going on... trying to sort out assorted little electrical bugs. Stereo is driving me up the wall. Are you still looking for a Vette?

That sounds like a viable option if I determine I need the speaker...thanks for the idea!
