Default I had dinner with a few of my friends that own Audi's...They think I can't enjoy my car because

I won't park it/drive it just anywhere. Seattle has way too many people and too little parking. Every parking space is designed for a small car and some damned SUV is parked in it. So when I go to various parts of town I take the beater pickup truck and park where I please. When in the Audi, I park in the least populated section and against a curb. My friends Audi's are covered in little dings and scrapes on the bumpers. They feel a car is just a car and it's "public property" meaning what ever happens....happens. How many of the Aw'ers just park in the first convenient space?

Default My gf, brothers, sister, cousins, uncles, and aunts...

...cannot understand why I park SO FAR away from the rest of the rubes.

So, no, I don't park in the first convinient spot.

Default Hell no, I always look for the best spot. Not to cramped, plenty of space...

preferably like you said, away from anybody, by a curb if possible. Although, I won't park way out far if I can help it, it has to be a nice compromise. I live in the Bay Area, and I refuse to take her up to San Francisco, talk about a lack of good parking, that city is REDICULOUS!

Default I'm exactly like you.

I pay good money for my car and I'm not going to risk having some inconsiderate person ding my car. My car is not public property. I will always park away from other cars and other high traffic areas. But I never will take up 2 spots or anything. Usually, I just find a corner spot and hug the curb. People can call me **** but I don't care.

Default I am always the loner out in the far reaches of the parking lot, either in the last spot by a curb..

or near a light post, no one likes parking near them, or near me for that matter..To long of a walk for the people who don't appreciate their cars.
I do however run into people with Vipers, M3's, and other assorted goodies that park out near me..that is one bonus.. =)
