i have a bazooka RS8 powered sub sitting in my garage...worth the trouble to install it?
will it enhance my stock bose system or should i wait to get something larger with a 10" driver (basslink or bazooka...whichever i can get a deal on)? i listen to all sorts of music including hip-hop, dance, top 40, etc...

2 12's
i have two twelves powered by a 800.4 orion amp and it blows the hell out of the car, unfortunately it's wayy to much base and i need to rethink my base options, i think 1 10' or 1 12' would be suffient, i'm not sure about an 8', possibly worth a try because you can always change the sub out after it's wired

I've tried two 4 ohm 10"s, and one 2 ohm 12". The single 12 is perfect.....
But I really can't stand adding a sub to a stock system (yeah I know it's bose). Too base heavy. The rest of the system is not up to the task. Unbalanced.
IMO, from years of car audio fanaticism, spend you moolah on the following, in this order:
Stage 1: Upgrade the speakers. Hands down the most significant upgrade to a car audio system.
Stage 2: Get an amplifier for your bitchin' new speakers. Get a five channel Amp, so you can hook up a sub to the fifth channel. Along with this, you will need to either get a new head unit or a high-to-low level signal converter. I got the converter. Kept the stock head unit. Totally stealth.
Stage 3: Get a sub and hook it up to the fifth channel of the amp. I recommend a single 2 ohm 12" sub in a SEALED box (not a ported, bandpass, watch-how-much-my-trunk-rattles box).
The single 8" tube probably ain't worth it.
Hope this helps =)
