I had brand new tires put on my car last week, and when I drove away, I noticed significant pull to the right. So, I figured it was the alinement, but after paying $80, the shop told me it was a "radial tire pull", and i had to go back to discount tire to have them replace the tire -

In order for them to fix the problem, they have to find the tire, and they say the only way to find the tire is to keep rotating the tires until the "pulling" is noticably less. I brought my car to them today, and it took them 45 minutes to rotate the tires on the passenger side - well it didn't work, so they have to rotate the drivers side tires - another 45 minutes, if that doesn't work, they need to switch the fronts, another 45 minutes, and once they find the tire, another 45 minutes

So my problem is I have to spend 4 hours with these people to find an error in their product............is this right? Is there another way around this?

I honestly do not have 4 hours to mess with my tires

They also told me I could not get a shorter tire......like a 35 or 40

It's not uncommon to have a radial pull from a discount tire. We have a road force machine at the place that I work and it does wonders for diagnosing tire problems. Unfortunatly at $12,000 not every tire shop is going to have one. Best thing to do is drop it off to them for a day. Don't rush them and let them replace the tire(s) that need it. I know your time is worth more than a set of tires, but you have to get your money's worth out of it. I don't think it's wrong to get someone to give you what you ask for when your the customer.

Check all 4 tires and find out where they are made(country/origin)......U might have 3 tires made in Japan and 1 made in Germany,France,USA, Canada....etc,

Same tires (make/model) differ when made in different parts of the world.
