Default I have a few questions about the fuel pressure regulator for a 2001 AWM

What is the rising rate? 1:1?
What is the static fuel pressure? 43.5 psi/3 bar?
Does it have a return line?

I have an Aeromotive 1:1 fuel pressure regulator which I used on a custom turbo setup a few years ago and I was wondering if it's compatible with the fuel system on the 1.8t, assuming I deal with the fuel lines. If I ever upgrade the fuel system I would rather use that instead of buying something to save money. Otherwise, I'm just going to sell it.

It looks like this.

Default the stock FPR is on the return side of the fuel rail

it is 3 bar at 0 psi. It is ~1:1 rising rate because of the vacuum line.

no real reason to mess with the FPR unless there is tuning requiring it.

Default Sounds good, that's all I need to know. I don't plan on messing with it

unless I acquire a setup that requires some different static fuel pressure, which I would be hesitant to use... all fuel injectors are rated at 43.5 psi / 3 bar which is the fuel pressure they were designed to operate at. I have seen some setups where the static fuel pressure is increased in order to compensate for injectors which are too small, but that opens up a can of worms like an injector duty cycle which is way too low at idle, absurdly high fuel pressures under boost pressure, etc... I would like to avoid that.

Default

AWM comes with 4 bar FPR from the factory.
