Default I have an idle problem

I bought my 1997 A4 about 6 months ago. It has a few thigs done to it. One of the things is a chip. One day i got a little curious and took the chip out to try and find out what kind it was. Well I for got to un hook the battery and I grounded it. The car still runs fine except that when I rev it up and let it fall it falls below normal idle then rises and falls then ries once more then it is fine. Is the chip ok or do I need a new one? Could it just be rewritten? Or could it be some thing else?

did you let the car sit for at least a minute in accessory mode so it can do the throttle body adapt

Default yes you should let the car sit for at least a minute before starting the car...

the throttle probably did not align itself. doing this will align the throttle after removing the ecu or battery.
