Default I have no oil in my car and the hood wont open

I closed the hood and let it drain while I went to get something to eat. I came back and put the new filter and crush washer on, but now the hood wont open. I have to get my hair cut at 1:30...how can I open it now?

Default been trying for awhile, it can be tricky sometimes

sometimes I need someone to pull on the latch on the hood while I pull the release inside, but that doesn't want to work now either. If I let the car warm up its easier, but I have no oil so I cant do that. Now the latch feels really easy and smooth...which doesnt seem like a good thing

Default So you knew the latch wasn't operating correctly...

and you shut the hood with no oil in the motor?

Well, if all else fails, cut open the grill and you should have access to the hood latch.

Default Maybe see if you can operate the latch mechanism from under the car with a long

stick or similar. If you already have the bellie pan off .....
That failing, I spose you could look at pulling the bumper to gain access to the latch mech from below.

Default I feel your pain...

my hood got stuck before a tech inspection at MidOH track. It took the better part of the morning for the mechanics to rig something long enough to reach up by the latch to release it. I think I had slack in the cable when I closed it and it popped out...argggh

Default You really need to look at it to figure out what's wrong.

Something might need to be lubricated, the cable may have stretched, I don't know. Once you get it open, you'll have to play with it to figure out why it's not working properly. From your previous post, it seems like something is sticking...could be a fitment problem (previous accident?) or just something that needs to be lubricated (as I already said).
