I have some used a6 headlights with xenon -- can they be fit into my a4?

Any issues with the wiring being swapped over, relay needs to be changed???

Default No. If the harness are different just cut and solder the wires.
But test them before you solder anything :-)

I actually have H1 xenon lights in my car but that is a whole different story.

Default easy as ****. Just need some D2S adapters so your bulbs fit in the halogen housings.

Am curious -- are you exchanging the projectors or just moving over the ballast+bulb?
