do you need door locks (key lock) to do the mumbo jumbo? because I dont have those anymore..

changing the battery is easy, give it a try to see if it works

but remember to reset it by putting it in the lock and then pressing a button

put the valet key in ignition and turn the power on but don't start the car. Put the switchblade in the door lock and press the lock button. that should do it
