I just called my dealer and they said it would cost $175 to do a wheel alignment! Is that right?!

That is the adjustment for variable toe-in/out during turns.
the car has to be raised and taken off its wheels for the adjustment to be made. Presumably, the dealers are doing this, hence the discrepancy between their price and the price at a local third party shop.

The adjustment is made by the bolt on top of the tie rod end as it connects to the steering knuckle (this bolt faces upwards). the other horizontal bold is to hold the adjustment (the other bolt) in place.

the dealer is the only one who has the expensive adapter....no independent shop can do it correctly without this adapter. A good dealer will loosen the subframe and move it to do the perfect alignment...$200 is reasonable for the the "full" alignment. If the dealer only does the standard 4 wheel toe-in/out then $200 is way too much. Ask them is the are going to use the adapter and loosen the sub frame, that should answer your question.
