I just got my 2001 A4 1.8 quattro in Pearl White with every option.
I just put 670 miles on it so I am starting to really get on it and see what it can do. The extra 20 horses is very noticeable. I also notice that the 2001 Audi sales book states the opt. Bose sound system has 150 w. Its wrong it has been upgraded to 210w. The sport package is also really noticable. Handling is phenomenal. The Tiptronic on the steering wheel is cool but I keep trying to shift using the standard H pattern. The Xenon lights are better than I thought at night, especially speeds over 100mph they really reach way out infront the car.
I found a couple of other differences from 2000 to 2001 that ar'nt in the sales
book. I'll keep you posted. I love this car!

Ya... my bose is only 150W... as measured by my ears :)

I think this might be the first car I dont have to send out to have the the audio-system upgraded. I am in the recording industry and I think this is the most accurate audio system I have ever heard from the factory.

Bose Sound System A4 210 watt, A4 Avant 170 watts, A6 250 watts, A6 Avant 250 watt, A8 220 watt.

It even gives standard system specks it reads.. A4 4x20watt, A4 Avant 4x20w+ 40 Watt Subwoofer etc... Its on page 28. Its written in black and white.

It is a misprint. Don't believe everything you read... Audi says...
...the A4 sedan has rear cupholders and 8 speakers on the non-bose according to the 2000 brochure. Not the case. Re: Audi is also known to make minor changes and not update printed material.
I'm sure it is very possible for Bose to make production changes. After all its only an amp. What ever, the sound system is very good.
