I just met the nicest cop ever.
Heres the deal... Im on my way home from a family reuinin thing and tired, i was pulling about 115 or so and a cop pulls me over. (He was driving home i think, not waiting for anybody. (radar didnt pick up anything). So the cop lets me know i was doing 92 in a 55mph work zone. I know i was doing alot more so i say "Ohh sir i didnt notice im sorry blah blah blah" So then after asking me if my car was my car 5 times he goes back to his car to write up a ticket. Then he comes back saying "Okay man heres the deal; if i write you a ticket for 92 your liscense is gone, so i wrote you up for 70. After thanking him about 15 times i left on my way doing 55. (getting passed by cars doing 70). Anyone else have an experience with a nice cop? I feel lucky as hell this was the guy that pulled me over.

I got my first speeding ticket out of 9 attempts a couple weeks ago...
...55 in a 35. He knocked it down to 44 so that it'd only be a $70 fine and 1 point and not twice as much. Cool guy.

Had kinda the same thing happen to me....
Got zapped at 124mph on the A/c expressway...
Cop- u were going pretty fast back there
Me- yeah...sorry i was speeding a little..
Cop- how come u are not wearing your seatbelt.
Me- sorry, forgot tonight
Cop- give me a minute...comes back and hands me a seatbelt ticket($42)...
Me--- driving away, not believing that this just happened and i only have a seatbelt ticket to show....

I got pulled over for going 84 in a 55 and the cop let me off w/ a seatbelt ticket
then gave me a lecture about driving on poorly lit roads (Rt. 17 in NY... going upstate) and the danger of hitting a deer at those speeds. He was really nice about it. On the same road on a different occasion a cop let me off w/ a 70 in a 55 when he clocked me at 91mph.
