so after 10 minutes of trying to start it fires up and is fine. I get home and check for codes and there is none. I had my mechanic put a new engine speed sensor in a week ago. Where do I look next? I hate the feeling lately of that I am going to be stranded by a car with only 50k miles. Maybe the Japs are on to something!! Well I still have the 84 4KQ and I know it is a real german auto, they dont build them like they used too.

nice, could be the crank sender...
a friend had the same problem on his '01 AWM A4. Once the car got warm it would stall out on him.
