You should enter a bracket race with consistent times like those. Is 4th gear necessary?
I've never taken my A4 to a 1/4 strip, so I don't know how far you can take 3rd gear. I know the top speeds are listed somewhere for each gear on these cars. It's too early and I'm too lazy

I think you were. I see a post in your registration thread that says you were fully registered .. back on April 15th. Try logging in using the original user name/pword combo you 'registered with'.

If he puts in a 2.8 trans he can take 3rd gear to 100 mph with a 7100 rpm limiter.
I have the 2.8 gear box and can hit 115 mph with my 7800 rpms limiter, which was a 15 mph gain over the 1.8 trans with the same rpm limiter.
