That's why that stupid double green light symbol is on my dash, to tell you that your outside lights are on. On my car the dash lights don't come on until the outside lights are on. I asked the salesguy when I first picked up my car, what does that light mean. It tells you that your lights are on. I thought, wow that's a stupid light how can you not know your lights are on.

That's what I said, any outside lights. And no, my speedo and tach don't come on by themselves.

has this light sensor there and when it starts to get dark or you go through a tunnel or whatever the dash lights come on so I can see then go off when the sun is back out. It often even turns them on when it's cloudy out all without having my headlights on.

Wierd cause its a very cool feature and you would think the newer models had it too.

Maybe its only for cars with all red dash. I can read mine in low light without lights.
