I need to rewind the miles on my 01 A4.... Can it be done

Lets say you find a way to rewind your odometer. The next person that owns the car will not know this and will service the car late. That could screw somebody bigtime, for example causing the next owner to have the timing belt break. If you racked up the miles, don't be a dick and try to modify the odometer...

Mine actually had 3 less miles when I went in. The clerk up front couldn't close my service because technically I had less miles then I went in. So she just adjusted the sales slip out milage.

IIRC, the mileage can NEVER be reduced. However, it can be increased, ie in the case of replacing a broken cluster with a new one, the new one can be set to the correct mileage. I do not know if you can adjust the mileage on a used one at all.

or buy a new gague cluster, and then get someone with a 1552 to program it to whatever you want
