Default Consider this....

Lets say you find a way to rewind your odometer. The next person that owns the car will not know this and will service the car late. That could screw somebody bigtime, for example causing the next owner to have the timing belt break. If you racked up the miles, don't be a dick and try to modify the odometer...

Default Yes, my cluster went bad, but they can't get it exact, its based on a calculation.

Mine actually had 3 less miles when I went in. The clerk up front couldn't close my service because technically I had less miles then I went in. So she just adjusted the sales slip out milage.

Default No.

IIRC, the mileage can NEVER be reduced. However, it can be increased, ie in the case of replacing a broken cluster with a new one, the new one can be set to the correct mileage. I do not know if you can adjust the mileage on a used one at all.

Default yeah, use your time machine, and then go back in time, and stop yourself from driving

or buy a new gague cluster, and then get someone with a 1552 to program it to whatever you want

Whatever you decide, just remember. What goes around, comes around.

Simple solution, if your not over your miles yet, buy out the freaking lease and turn the car in.

Good point. Screwing people over is punishable by torture.
