Default I need a stock ECU: 4B0 906 018 CH

it must be 100% stock (unmodified). Where can I get such a thing?

I realize that I could search car-parts.com - but there's no way of knowing if the ECU I'm ordering is modified or not and I doubt they'll open it up for me either.

I saw one on ebay, but it's $250 (which is the most I want to spend) - and they want a core return or it's another $100. Obviously $350 is outrageously expensive for an ECU, given that they're going for as little as $175 on car-parts. Another seller has the "M" box for $250 (except, as I said, I need CH).

So where else could I look for this?

I need it unmodified, because I feel that my current ECU went bad because it was modified twice (once by Autothority, once by APR) and perhaps the heat cycling degraded the PCB/chips.

Default I have one

It was the original from my 01.5. When I got my MTM chip I ordered another ECU. Figured it would be nice to have a spare...that was four years ago.

Default

I've gotten 2 CH ECUs via car-parts.com without issues.
