I noticed yesterday that my subframe is out of alignment. Is this a DIY or if not, what kind of cost

Default I noticed yesterday that my subframe is out of alignment. Is this a DIY or if not, what kind of cost

am I looking at for finding a shop the *might* do it for me? I've been searching on this and haven't found a price, but I have found that the dealer is really the only place I really should have it done.

Otherwise, I'll call around and see if any of the local shops can take care of this for me as well as my regular alignment.

Default Was it adjusted to equal out the camber on both front wheels?

I'd suggest a good alignment shop. A subframe adjustment is used to equal the camber between both sides if it's not right. Messing with it your self means you could throw your alignment out.

Default I had an alignment done back in May and it was good then. Since I did my TREs this weekend

I have to have another one done.

I did notice about a month ago my car started pulling a little to the right at higher speeds, even with the alignment having been done just months ago. I figure I might as well take it to the dealer now seeing as my searching has led me to understand they are really the only place with the Hunter alignment machine and tools needed for the complete job.

Default Yeah, just get an alignment and they should adjust the subframe as necessary

pay attn to your camber settings and if they aren't equal, make them adjust the subframe. Some techs don't understand you can do that.

Default

I plan on asking for a printout of specs so I can check them before I pay.

Default Yeah, that's how I know. I did exactly that last night, but wasn't sure what I had to loosen to move

it around. I figure with the money I just spend on tires, CAs, and TREs, I might as well get a really good alignment.

Default Frame adjustment for alignment??

I just got an alignment from a local shop, and the front driver came back @ -1.3' (about 0.6' out of spec).

Is this something that the dealer can correct by adjusting the sub-frame?
