I, once again, completely forgot to order a drain plug gasket. Anyone got one?

Default Re: I've replaced mine like twice and it has never leaked at any point. You could heat it

same here I got at least 10 oil changes out of mine before i lost it on the last one!

Default I've been using the same one for the past 9 yrs and haven't had a real issue...

I just put it back exactly how it comes off and have never had a single issue. YMMV, but that's my 2 cents on it.

If copper, heat yours cherry red with a propane torch(anneal) ,quinch in water and reuse

I've never replaced one. I just flip them every time. It doesn't leak.

<i>Hansen method</i> of oil drain plug seal functional life extension.

Used in a sentence:

"He pulled a Hansen on that drain plug washer".
