Default I recorded the squeak I have coming from the front end

This has been going on for awhile now. I replaced the control arms, shocks and springs a year and a half ago and that didn't fix it. I can only hear it when I go over speed bumps. I tried resetting the control arms but that didn't do anything

I'm thinking maybe I just need to grease up sway bar bushings? Worn shock mounts wouldn't make this noise would they?

sorry if the server is a little slow

quick video

Check upper & lower arm bushings as well as stabilizer bushings

I dont think its the control arms though, unless they were busted from the start

One good pot hole could have loosened a bushing up.

Default Re: I recorded the squeak I have coming from the front end

I had a similar squeak a year or so ago and it turned out to be one of the locating springs on my front break pads. This is after I had replaced the control arms and retorqued multiple bolts on steering rack upper shock mounts and others. It drove me crazy, before I finally took it to an independent audi mechanic who found it. The irony is that I had replaced the front brake pads myself months before and had probably caused the squeak by not putting something back in place just right. It only made a noise when I went over small bumps and happened regardless of whether or not the brakes were engaged. You may want to check that area also? Good luck.
