Default I think I bought a fake Quattro

Yes, I've been tricked! After being on this forum for 4 years I'm almost sure my Quattro is broken, or someone played a cruel joke on me by gluing a Quattro emblem to my dashboard. My A4 with highly rated Potenzas G009 that I have owned for the last 4 winters has not been performing anywhere even close to what quite a few here claim.

Few days ago I've come across a number of posters claiming things such as these:
"getting around this am with ~18" of fresh stuff on the ground"
"I've only done 45 to 50 in 14''

Now I have experience with my A4 and in 14" of snow I know that it will not move. Now I'm including a picture of what 14" looks like in comparison to an A4. Keep in mind that our wheels are 25" high, so 14" would be 1.5" higher than the center hub.

Looking at the picture something tells me that driving through that would be very difficulty, and impossible to drive in at 45-50mph.

I would very much like to see any proof of such feats. A still picture of an A4 with its bumper against some snow is not very assuring. A video or of A4 driving through that kind of snow would certainly be better. I have no doubts that getting an A4 up to speed then ramming a 20" pile of snow someone put there from plowing a driveway is possible. What I'm interested is any Quattro vehicle just driving on a simple unplowed street where the snow comes up to at least the center of the hub. Most digital cameras make video's but I just haven't seen anything like that yet.

Default 2nd. I'm low with Eibach springs and I've plowed, but not much above the front lower spoiler

and it was powder. If my fog lights are buried, I better not stop, because I might not get rolling again.

That's precisely what mine does. Maybe we just have FWD and don't know it?

now that I think of it, my cheap 15" Kumho 712s aren't exactly a great wet weather tire

Default haha, no way. I've broken my rear tires free. I've gotten my car squirrelly...

in a straight line and in the rain. Cheap tires make my car feel more powerful.

Default I had no problem with 10" to 12" at about 35 mph.

it depends somewhat on the snow. light power just blows out of the way. When the tires were new I got through heavy wet stuff about a foot deep but it wasn't pretty. Maybe 5 to 10 mph.
