I think I finally got those pesky vacuum gremlins! <edited to make Mica happy>
went through the motor again today, 5 hours later I have three problems identified and two fixed. Took some pics, but my camera is teh suxor and you can't see the cracks in the lines.....so it's not even worth posting them. Now, on to my question.....
when you look at my engine bay, you could "hear" air, simply put. I had nooooo idea why, and previously just dismissed it as air being sucked through the TB, or just the noise of the supercharger. Today, while water testing to find any vac leaks, I sprayed this little guy PN# 026 906 283 H <img src="http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g214/lomofo90/audi/DSC00956.jpg">, and there was a distinct change in sound. There is a little black cap, attached to a stem sticking out the side. <img src="http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g214/lomofo90/audi/DSC00959-1.jpg"> It seems the stem is not sealed and is allowing air to pass by it, enough that it's fairly loud. I had another one laying around, double checked the PN's, they mached...so I swapped them. Problem fixed right? nope still the same thing, confirmed with another spritz of water. I have come to the conclusion that either:
a) both solenoids are bad
b)they are supposed to be like that, and I am an idiot.
c) other
What we do know is that the entire secondary air system is a piece of **** and causes nothing but headaches.
What do you guys think? [circle one] "A", "B", or "C" for other, and please explain
And just for fun....I towed both of these vehicles yesterday:

Yeah, tell me about it.
I am actually leaning towards it, need to research a little more before I just start ripping stuff out though.
